WASHINGTON — A congressional hearing for the Motor Vehicle Owners’ Right to Repair Act (H.R. 2735) has been set for Wednesday, Sept. 22. Lynne Cardwell, CEO of Car Care Center in Sacramento, Calif., will be testifying on behalf of AAIA.
The hearing, “Repairing the 21st Century Car: Is Technology Locking the Consumer Out?” will take place before the House Subcommittee on Commerce, Trade and Consumer Protection of the House Energy and Commerce Committee. Cosponsored by Reps. Joe Barton, R-Texas and Edolphus Towns, D-N.Y., H.R. 2735 now has 113 sponsors.
