Siemens to Donate Nearly $3 Million to Hurricane Relief Efforts
Siemens CEO and President George Nolen presented a check for $2.8 million to Marty Evans, president and CEO of the American Red Cross, to aid hurricane victims in the South. Siemens employees from its 15 major operating companies in the U.S., including Siemens VDO, donated $1.4 million and the company matched those donations dollar-for-dollar.
NCMA Donates $5,000 to Hurricane Relief Efforts
The National Catalog Managers Association (NCMA) board of directors voted to donate $2,500 to the hurricane disaster relief efforts in the Gulf States. The NCMA board discussed the action during its meeting on Sept. 8. The donation was approved by a unanimous vote. It was also decided to funnel the money through AAIA to qualify for the generous matching of donations offered by that association.
