The broad-based collection of business groups urged tariff suspensions to assist companies in combating the coronavirus epidemic.
This action, “would immediately free up billions of dollars of working capital for American companies…to pay suppliers, employees, service providers and other critical stakeholders.” This action would preserve U.S. jobs and ease the difficult task of reopening a myriad of U.S. businesses, the groups stated.
