BENICIA, CA — 1-800-Radiator, an auto-parts distribution franchise and independent auto parts distributor, has acquired JMAC Radiator and Air. JMAC holds a key position in the air conditioning market as a $13 million dollar company with 18 locations, covering two thirds of the country.

“The acquisition of JMAC sets 1-800-Radiator to leverage a strong competitive force in 2008,” said Mike Rippey, CEO of 1-800-Radiator. “We are excited that this will dramatically increase 1-800-Radiator’s presence in the air conditioning market.”

Through years of success, JMAC developed massive databases and software that helped make the company a leader in air conditioning parts sales. Armed with these assets, 1-800-Radiator will approach the air conditioning market with the same power that has allowed 1-800-Radiator’s franchise network to dominate the radiator market.

Beyond JMAC’s technology, other assets include nearly 90 percent of JMAC’s staff, including the key leadership of Ryan McKenna, general manager of Nationwide Sales. JMAC’s software engineers, sales and technical staff will be retained to maximize the value for 1-800-Radiator’s franchisees and the loyal customers who know both companies well.

Entrepreneur magazine recently named 1-800-Radiator as the 37th fastest-growing franchise in the nation in its Annual Franchise 500 rankings for 2008.
