Partnering with the Wisconsin Automobile and Truck Dealers Association (WATDA), ZF Services LLC, the strategic aftermarket unit of ZF Friedrichshafen AG in North America, will lead training on the ZF 8 hp and 9 hp transmissions at Gateway Technical College in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Topics covered during this two-day session will include operations and diagnostics, transmission overhaul, common problems and solutions, as well as interactive hands-on demonstrations for each transmission.
The instructors for these classes are Dirk Fuchs, ZF Services technical training engineer, and Francisco Moreno, ZF Services commercial vehicle team leader.
Fuchs has worked for the past six years progressing from warranty management to technical training and services concepts. In his current role, he is responsible for all technician and customer training across the U.S. for ZF Services in the aftermarket. Moreno has more than 10 years of experience at ZF on the remanufacturing production lines in both passenger car and commercial vehicle. He now brings that knowledge to the field for training.
This training offered with WATDA is one of many avenues where ZF brings product training to the market, the company states. ZF hosts technical training through several of its customers, and its ZF Services unit hosts free webinars.
