Walker Products Announces Expanded Coverage Of Mass Air Flow Sensor Category

Walker's coverage of mass air flow sensors for U.S. applications now includes 131 part numbers covering most makes and models from 1984 through 2014.

PACIFIC, Mo. – Walker Products has announced expanded coverage for its Mass Air Flow Sensor category. Walker’s coverage of mass air flow sensors for U.S. applications now includes 131 part numbers covering most makes and models from 1984 through 2014.

How Does a Mass Air Flow Sensor Function?
Mass Air Flow Sensors measure the amount of air by weight through changing voltages or frequencies and transmits the information to the ECU (electronic control unit). The ECU uses this as well as other inputs to calculate the proper amount of fuel to be delivered to the injectors.

Some of the symptoms of failure are poor starting, engine surging, engine stalling, “check engine” light or no start conditions. As mass air flow sensors are not serviceable, faulty sensors should be replaced.

All of Walker’s mass air flow sensors are new, and do not require any core charges or returns. The company’s mass air flow sensors are designed and manufactured to meet or exceed exact OE specifications. Walker maintains a comprehensive OE unit library, with all units being tested in our test labs in Pacific, Mo.

Walker says it provides the exact unit that came on the vehicle as OE, which allows the technician to be sure that the repair is being done right the first time. According to Walker, the company’s mass air flow sensors utilize superior technology offering greater vibration dampening, moisture resistance and thermal protection.
