BRUSSELS, Belgium WABCO Holding Inc., a leading global supplier of technologies to improve the safety and efficiency of commercial vehicles, has announced the winners of its global "#MyTruckStop" campaign launched in connection with IAA Commercial Vehicles 2014, one of the industry’s most global trade shows held in Hanover, Germany.
Truck drivers and other members of the global commercial vehicle community submitted hundreds of photos of their favorite truck stops via Twitter, Facebook and Instagram using the hashtag #MyTruckStop.
Responding to this call, participants captured diverse snapshots of their daily lives linked through truck stops across the world. All entries received were entered into the prize drawing to win one of five iPad minis, with winners being notified by WABCO this week.
“Truck stops are a central hub for truck drivers all around the world, and the success of our ‘#MyTruckStop’ campaign helped to celebrate the vibrancy and essential role of these communities,” said Nick Rens, president, Trailer, Aftermarket and Off-Highway Division at WABCO. “We were amazed by the levels of response and diversity of images that we received. From the hustle and bustle of Japan, to a backdrop of the New York skyline, it was great to see drivers giving us real insights into their lives on the road. I’d like to express thanks to everybody who contributed to our ‘#MyTruckStop’ campaign.”
WABCO showcased hundreds of the “#MyTruckStop” entries received in a large social art mosaic at the company’s IAA 2014 booth themed “Tomorrow’s Truck Stop.” The company currently displays the artwork for download on its website.
