NANAIMO, B.C. VMAC has announced its support for Youth Sticking Together, a group working to break a Guinness World Record for the world’s longest street hockey game while raising money for three charities in the Nanaimo, B.C., area.
From June 29 to July 3, teens aged 16 to 18 will play street hockey nonstop until they break the current record of 105 hours and 17 minutes. The event will raise money for Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Central Vancouver Island, Jeneece Place and Harewood Youth Ball Hockey League. Players will need to raise a minimum of $50 on a pledge form in order to take part and the group’s goal is to raise $5,000. VMAC has provided funding as one of three semi-exclusive Power Panel sponsors with a panel adorning the walls of the Lacrosse Box in which the game will take place.
