CRYSTAL LAKE, Ill. – VIPAR Heavy Duty has reported that a record number of stockholders and suppliers participated in the group’s 2012 Annual Business Conference, held Oct. 21-26 at the Marco Island (Fla.) Marriott. More than 90 percent of VIPAR Heavy Duty stockholders/distributors from the U.S., Canada and Mexico attended the event, which included educational seminars, a tradeshow, an annual stockholder meeting and one-on-one meetings with more than 110 supplier partners.
The conference was highlighted by a well-received inspirational message from Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee Terry Bradshaw, a four-time Super Bowl champion quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers and a well-known broadcaster on Fox NFL Sunday.
The conference was conducted under the theme "Connected," representative of the strong relationships between VIPAR Heavy Duty stockholders, supplier partners and customers, the group said.
"With the heavy-duty aftermarket continuing to show positive signs, those who attended our conference were upbeat about the marketplace moving forward," said Steve Crowley, president and CEO, VIPAR Heavy Duty. “As a result they are making aggressive plans to expand business, which is good news for everyone in the heavy-duty market."
The 2012 VIPAR Heavy Duty Annual Business Conference included a general session for distributors. Several value-added sessions were held on VIPAR Heavy Duty’s strategic direction, a session on competitive distribution strategies, a profile of the commercial vehicle market and a distributor profitability session.
VIPAR Heavy Duty’s 2013 Annual Business Conference will be held Oct. 20-25 at the Marco Island Marriott Resort in Marco Island, Fla.
