VIPAR Heavy Duty Footprint Grows In Mexico With Addition Of American Smartrucks, S.A. de C.V.

Established in 1998, American Smartrucks serves owner operators, fleets, maintenance facilities and small trailer manufacturers from locations in Mexico City and Puebla.

CRYSTAL LAKE, Ill. — American Smartrucks S.A. de C.V., a heavy-duty truck parts distributor in central Mexico, has joined the VIPAR Heavy Duty network of distributors as a new stockholder. Established in 1998, American Smartrucks serves owner operators, fleets, maintenance facilities and small trailer manufacturers from locations in Mexico City and Puebla.

American Smartrucks sells a wide variety of heavy-duty parts including seals, bearings, braking system valves, drums, friction, lubricants, clutches, filters, lighting, electrical connectors, suspension, cargo control, rims, water pumps, clutches, fifth wheels, batteries and fan clutches.

"American Smartrucks is a leading provider of truck parts in central Mexico with a broad product focus and emphasis on customer service," said Jim Pennig, vice president of business development for VIPAR Heavy Duty. "We are a North American network of truck parts distributors and excited to expand our footprint in Mexico with the addition of this new stockholder to the VIPAR Heavy Duty family."
