The program also will include three announcements by Babcox Media naming the 2013 recipients of awards supporting excellence at every level of the automotive repair industry Tomorrow’s Tech’s School of the Year, Counterman’s Counter Professional of the Year and Babcox Tech Group’s Best Tech.

During his keynote, Evernham will discuss his passion for automotive excellence, whether it is working on cars, helping customers or teaching students as they prepare to become the next generation in the automotive industry.
“It is always an honor to help recognize those in the automotive industry who go above the call of duty, invest in education and are ambassadors for the aftermarket by demonstrating excellence in the automotive industry,” Evernham said. “This will be an exciting night for everyone and I am honored to participate in a program geared toward the future of our industry.”
An “ultimate car guy,” Evernham used hard work and street smarts to become a NASCAR champion. Named the “greatest crew chief of all-time,” he became a business champion as well, creating a well-run, innovative, technology-leading organization that earned the respect of its peers. The company grew to be a winning multi-car team in the NASCAR Sprint Cup, NASCAR Nationwide and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.
Since leaving his ownership position, Evernham has become a leading authority in both motorsports and the car business, as an ESPN racing analyst, avid car collector, restorer and judge, dirt-track owner and inner-circle consultant to racing and auto dealer giant Rick Hendrick. He also finds time to race with his wife Erin for fun and at charity events like Tony Stewart’s “Prelude to the Dream.” He is a respected community leader through his philanthropy.
