University of the Aftermarket to Offer Intensive New Advanced Leadership Experience

The new "Leadership 3.0" program is open to graduates of Leadership 2.0, AAP and MAAP recipients and other qualified aftermarket professionals.

MIDLAND, Mich. – The University of the Aftermarket this summer will debut an intensive new advanced leadership development experience for industry professionals who have completed the Leadership 2.0 program and/or other University-accredited business management training.

The new program, “Leadership 3.0: Advanced Leadership in a Global Aftermarket,” will take place Aug. 19-24, at the Sloan Family Building for Aftermarket Studies on Northwood University’s campus in Midland, Mich. Registration will be limited to Leadership 2.0 graduates (including Leadership 2010), industry participants who have earned their Automotive Aftermarket Professional (AAP) and/or Master Automotive Aftermarket Professional (MAAP) designations and graduates of the CARQUEST School of Business or the Northwood University Aftermarket Executive MBA program.

“Leaders never want to stop learning, which explains the strong support for a new tier of leadership education for the aftermarket,” said Brian Cruickshank, MAAP, director of the University of the Aftermarket. “During every Leadership 2.0 session, participants urge us to create a follow-up program that will allow them to continue to enhance their leadership capabilities through a deeper focus on emerging competitive challenges and global issues. Leadership 3.0 answers this need.”

Topics to be covered during the five-day experience include “Development of a Team Culture,” “Aftermarket Financial Metrics,” “The Global Aftermarket: Leading Across Borders,” “Aftermarket Economic Indicators,” “Keys to Sustainable Profitability,” “Driving Innovation” and “Creating Your Success.” The curriculum also will include a corporate strategy workshop, analysis of aftermarket-specific business case studies and discussion of key industry trends.

Tuition for this session is $2,995 and includes all instruction, materials and meals. Affordable and convenient on-campus housing is available.
