A report today from Automotive News has indicated that two Spain-based employees of Delphi Automotive Systems were among those who perished in a German plane crash on Tuesday.
The Germanwings aircraft, which took off from Spain and was headed for Germany, is reported to have gone down in a remote part of the French Alps on Tuesday, March 24. Media reports indicate that it is expected none of the 150 passengers and crewmembers on board survived.
According to the Automotive News report, the two Delphi executives on board the flight were: Rogelio Oficialdegui, 62, human resources director for Delphi in Spain; and Manuel Rives Salinas, 51, employee representative at Delphi’s Sant Cugat diesel site in Spain, and member of the Delphi European Employee Committee.
