Transmaxx Continues Expansion With New Detroit Facility

Transmaxx LLC, an automotive transmission parts distributor headquartered in Cleveland has announced the opening of a new distribution branch in Detroit. This is the third location for Transmaxx, which opened less than a year ago in June of 2015.

“We are delighted to call the city that is the global center of the automotive industry home to our newest Transmaxx location. This is the third of many more facilities to come as we build a national distribution network,” said Neil Sethi, CEO.

Tom DeMille, vice president of sales and marketing, added, “Since the day we opened Transmaxx, customers in the greater Detroit area have welcomed us with open arms. Their commitment to us is so very much appreciated and we are excited to now provide them with same-day delivery of our extensive product offering and look forward to exceeding their expectations.”

The new location is at 11928 Farmington Road, in the western suburb of Livonia. The facility is situated near the intersection of interstates 275 and 96, providing ideal access to serve all of greater Detroit with same-day delivery. Ron Bruce, a 16-year veteran of the transmission parts industry, serves as branch manager for the new location.

Federated Auto Parts Distributors announced it is entering into a collaboration with the Association of Independent Oil Distributors (AIOD) – one it said will focus on mutual benefits for the respective members.

“Federated is constantly looking at ways to improve value for all constituents and this agreement provides that,” said Sue Godschalk, president of Federated. “This collaboration provides added volume and opportunities for our suppliers, new partners for our members, and added supply points and products for shop customers. We have enjoyed working closely with several AIOD members in the past and this agreement will expand and create further opportunities for both Federated and AIOD.”
