Tidewater Fleet Supply Makes Inc. Magazine’s List Of America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies

Company ranks No. 4385 on the 2013 Inc. 500|5000 with three-year sales growth of 54 percent.

NEW YORK – Tidewater Fleet Supply announced that Inc. Magazine has ranked the company No. 4385 on its seventh annual Inc. 500|5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list takes a comprehensive look at this most important segment of the economy – America’s independent entrepreneurs. Fuhu tops this year’s list. Tidewater Fleet Supply joins LivingSocial, Edible Arrangements, CDW and Lifelock, among other prominent brands featured on this year’s list.

“We are honored to be recognized once again by Inc. Magazine as one of America’s fastest-growing private companies,” said Allan Parrott, president of Tidewater Fleet Supply, LLC. “We are celebrating the company’s 60th anniversary and we are pleased with our continued growth, which is a result of our continued focus on creating lasting partnerships with our employees, customers and suppliers. We have just completed the move into our new 83,000-square-foot distribution center and corporate offices and are optimistic that this new facility will provide the platform for our future success.”

In a stagnant economic environment, median growth rate of 2013 Inc. 500|5000 companies is an impressive 142 percent. The companies on this year’s list report having created more than 520,000 jobs in the past three years, and aggregate revenue among the honorees reached $241 billion.

“Not all the companies in the Inc. 500|5000 are in glamorous industries, but in their fields they are as famous as household name companies simply by virtue of being great at what they do. They are the hidden champions of job growth and innovation, the real muscle of the American economy,” says Inc. Editor Eric Schurenberg.
