FARMINGTON HILLS, MI — Discover the latest advancements in hybrid truck technology, alternative fuels, fleet maintenance and much more at The Work Truck Show 2007 and 43rd Annual National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) Convention.
The Work Truck Show 2007 and NTEA Convention will be held at the Indiana Convention Center & RCA Dome in Indianapolis, IN. The trade show runs March 79, 2007, with the Convention (including 30 concurrent educational sessions) open March 69.
A full day of hybrid truck and alternative fuels awareness building kicks off Tuesday, March 6 from 10 am – 4:30 pm with a Hybrid Truck & Alternative Fuels Summit. The Summit includes a panel discussion covering a variety of alternative fuel and hybrid vehicle technology topics, including how vehicle design will be impacted by the technology and how to effectively leverage it in the future.
“The Work Truck Show and Annual NTEA Convention offer fleet managers a forum to examine the latest developments in commercial trucks and equipment, and to learn new techniques and strategies for reducing expenses while increasing productivity and efficiency,” said Tom Rawson, NTEA convention chairman.
Also on Tuesday, March 6, fleet, shop and equipment managers can attend a Fleet Management Symposium focusing on financial and operational practices that can reduce costs while increasing shop labor productivity. The symposium will be led by leading fleet management consultant Kelly Walker, president of Kelly Walker Associates (Dallas, TX). Registration for the Symposium includes a Work Truck Show Conference and Trade Show package that covers entry into the show, all educational conference sessions, a Truck Fleet Manager Training Session and Business Forum.
Attendees can also learn how to reduce vehicle repair costs and downtime by establishing an effective fleet predictive maintenance program, gain insights into how vehicle life-cycle cost analysis can guide equipment purchases and discover new corrosion prevention and control techniques for your high-risk work trucks as just part of the extensive lineup of educational offerings at the Convention.

The convention will also include an exclusive fleet manager training session and networking lunch and business forum featuring former Harley-Davidson Executive Ken Schmidt.
Schmidt is the former director of communications for Harley-Davidson Motor Company. He played an active role in one of the most celebrated turnarounds in corporate history and was paid to ride motorcycles. Schmidt’s presentation will wrap up the Work Truck Show 2007 and NTEA Convention educational offerings with the business forum buffet and breakfast on Friday, March 9. A ticket is required.
