The Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance Wins AWDA Pursuit Of Excellence Award, Announces Return Of Aftermarket Jackpot Convention To Las Vegas In 2018

Attendance at the event is projected to surpass 5,000 attendees from Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper stores and shops worldwide.

Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper officially announced plans to bring its national convention back to Las Vegas in 2018 to repeat the success of its 2015 convention. The announcement, made during the Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA) Opening General Session awards ceremony, was met with fanfare and excitement from the audience.

Before the announcement, the Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance was honored with the 2016 Pursuit of Excellence Award, in recognition of excellence in business performance and the setting of high standards as an example for others to follow. In 2015, the Alliance became the first program group to ever hold its convention in conjunction with the AAPEX and SEMA shows that make up Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week (AAIW.)

The 2015 Aftermarket Jackpot event drew more than 3,800 attendees from Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper stores and shops.

“Holding our 2015 Aftermarket Jackpot Convention in Las Vegas in conjunction with AAPEX and SEMA was a venture that paid off,” said John R. Washbish, president and CEO of the Alliance. “Being able to attend two major events in one week makes it worthwhile for thousands to participate. It just makes sense – Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper shops and stores attendees are given valuable face time with our supplier channel partners at the premier trade show of the year. We really had an outstanding event, with three days of education, networking, and entertainment.”

The Aftermarket Jackpot, a proven success, is projected to increase in size and scope in 2018 – offering more training and prizes than ever before for its projected 5,000 attendees. An entire day will be spent at AAPEX for attendees to engage in prescheduled training sessions with manufacturer suppliers. More than 80 manufacturers participated in 2015, with more anticipated to participate in 2018.

In addition to face time with some of the leading supplier manufacturers, attendees will have the opportunity to attend Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper educational sessions created to help both shops and stores improve processes, efficiencies and profitability. Attendance at training sessions will qualify attendees for a variety of prizes. The Alliance adds that there will be ample time for fun and excitement, as Aftermarket Jackpot attendees will be treated to lavish dining events accompanied by world-class entertainment.

Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper’s 2018 Aftermarket Jackpot Convention will be held at the Mirage Hotel & Resort, Oct. 31 through Nov. 3, 2018.
