TEMOT International Holds Annual Spring Meeting And Executive Suppliers’ Events In Barcelona

Several suppliers were honored for outstanding supplier performance.

TEMOT International, one of the largest international buying groups within the international automotive aftermarket industry, held its 2017 conference for shareholders and suppliers from May 9-11 in Barcelona.

Approximately 400 professionals, shareholders and suppliers from all over the world came together to discuss business opportunities, reflect about future developments and exchange ideas in more than 1,500 “business speed meetings.” TEMOT Management presented the latest developments within the network and provided the participants with insight into the group’s global activities and current projects.

TEMOT International says it is looking back on a particularly successful year. May 2017 finds TEMOT International with 65 shareholders, which operate in 63 countries all over the world and generate a global income in excess of € 9.2 billion (approximately $10.2 billion USD).

Within this framework of the Annual Meeting & Executive Supplier’s Event 2017, TEMOT International recognized the outstanding performance of the best suppliers in 2016 concerning different categories. The evaluations were done by the shareholders of TEMOT International and are based on the performance of all TEMOT suppliers for the period of 12 months in 2016. 

All prizes were handed over on behalf of the TEMOT Shareholders by Uri Winkler, chairman of the board; Fotios Katsardis, president and CEO; and the TEMOT Business Development Team: Thomas Kobudzinski, vice president business development and commercial vehicles; Julia Stiewe, business development manager; and Pascal Langer, business development manager.

The award “Global Supplier 2016” went to MANN+HUMMEL GmbH Automotive Aftermarket. The prize was received on behalf of MANN+HUMMEL by Josef Parzhuber, president and general manager automotive aftermarket; Brigitte Steinbach, director sales IAM; and Dolores Ubina Arqués, KAM International Accounts.

OSRAM GmbH Specialty Lightning was honored for its achievements in the category “Sales & Marketing 2016.” The prize was handed over to Terje Noevig, head of automotive aftermarket; Patrick Wiglinghaus, sales director automotive AM EU NW, IBERIA, IONIA; Nikolai Dianov, Cluster Head Eastern Europe; and Alla Muntian, business development manager, Neolux.

The award “Logistics 2016” went to Ferdinand Bilstein GmbH + Co.KG. Jörg Hergel, regional sales director; Oliver Theis, regional sales director Central Europe; and Nadine Becker, sales support manager, received the prize on behalf of their organization.

The prize in the category “Commercial Vehicles 2016” went to Valeo Service. The award was received by Menno Schönlank, regional director Europe, and Romaric Petitgenet, international sales development director.

The award “Supplier of the Year 2016” was given to the company Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket GmbH + Co.KG. The prize was handed over to Sascha Lechner, vice president, region East/Southeast/North Europe/India, BD Automotive Aftermarket; Stefan Knaack, vice president Region Western Europe, BD Automotive Aftermarket; and Ignacio Naranjo, president, automotive Iberia.
