Stoneridge To Display Innovative Mirror Replacement System And Instrument Clusters At NACV

Four of the products to be featured include the MirrorEye mirror replacement system, FCD4 dashboard, EZ-ELD (electronic logging device) and CornerEye camera monitor system, as well as its full-size, Stoneridge-equipped Innovation Truck.

Stoneridge Inc., a leader in highly engineered electrical and electronic components for the commercial vehicle and automotive industry, will be exhibiting at the North American Commercial Vehicle (NACV) Show from Sept. 25-28 at booth No. 2860.

Four of the products to be featured include the MirrorEye mirror replacement system, FCD4 dashboard, EZ-ELD (electronic logging device) and CornerEye camera monitor system, as well as its full-size, Stoneridge-equipped Innovation Truck.

MirrorEye Improves Truck Visibility and Safety

Stoneridge’s MirrorEye system, featured on the Innovation Truck, replaces traditional mirrors with cameras and interior displays. The system enhances safety by removing blind spots, making the driver more aware of dangers, pedestrians and cyclists around the vehicle. Equipped with self-cleaning and defrosting functions, the system also eliminates issues related to rain, dirt and ice. In addition, an advanced image rendering system blocks direct sunlight reflections, and the night vision display improves maneuvering at night to further facilitate all-round vehicle operation.

The aerodynamic MirrorEye system design promotes a more streamlined vehicle and contributes to fuel efficiency, helping to improve the operator’s bottom line. Stoneridge’s goal with MirrorEye is to outperform traditional mirrors in all situations and include more functions to add further value.

FCD4 Dashboard Allows User Customization and Integration

The fully configurable FCD4 dashboard features a full display cluster, the integrated rear-view MirrorEye system and head tacking – which opens up new possibilities for driver-vehicle interaction, Stoneridge says. The traditional, central infotainment display is replaced with a tablet allowing for removal and use outside of the truck. Apart from the basic functions like navigation, media player and climate control, Stoneridge also equipped the tablet with custom apps to facilitate the driver’s everyday life.

Stoneridge EZ-ELD is a Simple Solution to Logging

Stoneridge EZ-ELD keeps drivers fully compliant with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s upcoming electronic logging device (ELD) legislation. The EZ-ELD is a complete Hours of Service (HOS) logging solution, eliminating the need for added extras or further investments that many competitor products require.

The EZ-ELD is a solution with interchangeable connectors, making it an easy one-box solution for fleets. While other bring-your-own-device (BYOD) ELD solutions require a long-term software contract, Stoneridge offers an easy-to-use interface at an affordable price without a contract, and the free app is available for both iOS and Android devices. With the 2017 ELD regulation deadline fast approaching, motor carriers should be thinking about what solution fits their needs, the company advises.

CornerEye Provides a Complete Field of Vision

CornerEye will be among other Stoneridge camera systems also on display. The CornerEye system has a wide-angle lens combined with the latest camera technologies to deliver a 270 degree field of vision around the front of the vehicle, and a full and detailed picture of surroundings, continuously and in real-time.
