Steve Weinger Retires from Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp.

Weinger joined the Toyo Tires family in 1982, after more than nine years with Michelin.

CYPRESS, Calif. – Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. has announced that Steve Weinger has retired after working 28 years with the company. Weinger joined the Toyo Tires family in 1982, after more than nine years with Michelin.

Weinger initially worked on the commercial product side of the company as fleet promotions sales manager and later became the national director of truck tire sales. Opportunities within the growing company allowed Weinger to ultimately rise to the position of senior vice president of sales and marketing. While serving in that capacity, he implemented programs that resulted in record increases in overall sales, the company noted.

One such effort was the introduction of mass appeal passenger car products for the Toyo Tires brand. Both Weinger and an associate received an award from the company for the development and sales of the Toyo Spectrum passenger car tire. This led to a variety of products, including the Versado line of luxury tires.

“The Toyo Tires family wishes to thank Steve Weinger for his years of service and contributions to the company,” said President and CEO Yasushi Takagi. “He has left a proud legacy with the company, and we wish Steve the very best for a relaxing and enjoyable retirement.”
