STEMCO, a manufacturer of heavy-duty components and solutions for the commercial vehicle market, recently appointed Donnie Wells to the position of vice president and general manager of STEMCO Suspension Products.
In his new role, Wells will lead the company’s suspension products business, which includes the STEMCO Kaiser, STEMCO Gaff and STEMCO Equipment, as well as the newly acquired Goodyear Air Springs product families.
“The integration of Goodyear Air Springs has added a new dimension of product offerings to STEMCO’s suspension products,” said Todd Anderson, president of STEMCO. “Donnie’s strong track record of industry experience and his leadership will help us continue that integration as we work to further strengthen STEMCO’s market-leading position in the commercial trucking industry.”
Wells, who assumes his new role effective immediately, comes to STEMCO from Compressor Products International (CPI). He began his career as a design engineer at Dana Corp. and initially joined STEMCO in 1998 before joining CPI in 2010. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Letourneau University and a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Oklahoma.
Wells replaces Jon Cocco, who joined the STEMCO family from Veyance Technologies during the company’s acquisition of Goodyear Air Springs in July 2015.
“Jon has been extremely helpful during the complex process of integrating our new air springs products,” added Anderson. “His professionalism and knowledgeable support during the past few months have been instrumental to this transition. We wish him the very best.”
