LAS VEGAS — Service Repair Solutions Inc. (SRS) has just acquired Auto Point Inc., a pioneer of ownership lifecycle management services to automotive retailers. Terms were not disclosed.

SRS will operate Auto Point as a wholly owned subsidiary. Auto Point’s multi-channel communications platform will create new offerings focused on the dealership service department in conjunction with SRS affiliate, Mobile Productivity Inc. (MPi). MPi is a leader delivering processes, metrics and software solutions that enable automotive dealerships to achieve world-class results in their service departments, according to SRS.

"Auto Point is an excellent strategic addition to our overall portfolio," said Les Silver, CEO of Service Repair Solutions. "Automotive executives and dealers realize, now more than ever, that they need to rely on their existing customer base to achieve their growth and profitability objectives. Auto Point’s proven method of managing all the customer touch points across the ownership lifecycle is vital to achieving those objectives. The acquisition of Auto Point is a substantial step that will enable SRS to serve its automotive customers more completely and adds another innovative product to help dealers operate more effectively and profitably."

Auto Point CEO Jim Roche added, "We are excited to join the SRS team and to have the benefit of SRS’ reputation and resources, as well as the breadth of their industry experience. This combination will help expand the successful line of ownership lifecycle solutions we have built over the past eight years, and will improve our sales and delivery capabilities."

Roche also indicated Auto Point will continue to serve its current customers and expects to expand the products and services available to them.
