Service King Set To Break Donation Record In Great American Recycled Rides Giveaway

Service King, which is celebrating its 40th Anniversary in 2016, has a longstanding partnership with the NABC and Recycled Rides. In 2015, the company donated 15 vehicles through the program while contributing more than $500,000 to dozens of non-profit organizations across the U.S.

service-king-great-american-giveawayService King Collision Repair Centers, in continued celebration of the organization’s 40th anniversary, announced that its family of teammates plan to repair and donate a record number of vehicles to families in need in more than a dozen cities across the U.S.

The effort, titled “The Great American Recycled Rides Giveaway,” is set for Sept. 16-18, and will mark the largest vehicle donation ever conducted by a collision repair company. In total, Service King, with the assistance of several leading auto insurance companies, aims to repair and donate 40 vehicles to deserving recipients hand-selected by local non-profit organizations.

“The gift of reliable, safe transportation has the power to change the entire trajectory of life,” said Jeff McFadden, Service King president. “That’s why our team is so inspired to work consistently alongside our valued insurance partners and local non-profit organizations to donate vehicles across the U.S. through The National Auto Body Council’s Recycled Rides program. Our hope is that this historic event will be truly life-changing for families in need across the country.”

As part of the Recycled Rides effort, Service King auto body technicians from across the U.S. voluntarily repaired each vehicle involved in the event. The simultaneous giveaways will take place Friday, Sept. 16, in more than a dozen cities across the U.S. coupled with a grand finale in front of a national audience at Chicagoland Speedway Sunday. By partnering with local non-profit organizations across the country, vehicles will go toward assisting single mothers, domestic violence victims, transitioning homeless families, military veterans and more.

Service King will host the giveaways in Dallas; San Antonio; Atlanta; Chicago; Houston; Tampa; Dublin and Bellflower, California; Wilshire North Carolina; Jackson, Mississippi; Murfreesboro, Tennesee; Bentonville, Arkansas; and Bryant, Arkansas. The single-largest donation of the event is set for Service King’s hometown of Dallas, where 11 vehicles will be presented to recipients from five different non-profit organizations in Victory Park.

Recycled Rides is a unique community action initiative through which members of the National Auto Body Council, insurance companies, collision repairers, paint, parts and material manufacturers and others in the collision repair industry – unite with local non-profit organizations to provide deserving individuals and families with the gift of a fully restored vehicle. In its celebrated history, the National Auto Body Council has donated more than 1,000 vehicles since 2007.
