Service King Collision Repair Centers has appointed tenured global business executive Sean Huurman to the role of chief human resources officer.
Huurman joins Service King with more than 25 years of diverse experience, most recently serving as the chief administrative officer at Imagine Communications. During his tenure at Imagine Communications, Huurman most recently led the company’s global workforce, information technology and real estate initiatives. He also held the role of chief people officer and led the transformation of Imagine Communication’s culture and workforce following its divestiture from Harris Corp. in 2013. He will begin his new post at Service King immediately.
Service King, celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2016, operates nearly 300 collision repair centers in 23 states across the U.S. The organization in 2015 surpassed 6,000 teammates in the midst of historic growth and evolution into one of the industry’s leading forces. As chief human resources officer, Huurman will oversee all administrative operations and lead the department’s efforts across Service King’s national footprint.
Huurman previously served as the executive vice president and chief people officer at GENBAND. There, he played a key role in the global acquisition and assimilation of the CVAS division of Nortel. Before joining the GENBAND team, Huurman spent 13 years in various human resource roles with KPMG and its spinoff, a $3 billion publically traded management consulting firm BearingPoint Inc., culminating his time there as vice president of human resources.
Huurman holds a degree in psychology from Santa Clara University and a master’s degree in human resources and employment relations from Pennsylvania State University.
