Qualitor, Inc. Names David Peace President of Pylon
David F. Peace has been named president of Qualitor’s Pylon Wiper division. Peace joins Pylon from Jordan Industries where he served as CEO of Jordan Automotive Aftermarket, Inc. since 2002. Prior to Jordan, Peace served as vice president and general manager of three business groups at Visteon from 1997 to 2002, including Visteon’s Global Aftermarket Operations.
Qualitor Recapitalizes Business
Qualitor, Inc., parent company of Sloan Transportation Products, has announced the recapitalization of its business. Based in Southfield, Mich., Qualitor was previously a Wind Point Partners portfolio business, and is now owned by Thayer Capital Partners, Baird Capital Partners and American Capital, along with Qualitor’s senior management team.
American Capital Invests $33 Million in Qualitor
American Capital Strategies Ltd., a publicly-traded buyout fund, has invested $33 million in Qualitor Inc., a diversified automotive aftermarket parts manufacturer. Founded in 1999, Southfield, Mich.-based Qualitor manufactures application-specific wear products, including brake components, wiper blades, engine control devices and heavy duty truck parts. The company has eight manufacturing, distribution and storage facilities in Connecticut, Florida, Michigan and Ohio and employs nearly 800 people.
