SCRS’ Aaron Schulenburg Receives James Moy Memorial Award At AASP/NJ’s NORTHEAST 2018 Show

Moy, a beloved figure in the automotive repair industry, passed away two years ago this spring. To honor his passing, AASP/NJ created this award to honor individuals in the collision repair industry who work tirelessly to better the field for all.

On March 16, the Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of New Jersey (AASP/NJ) presented the second annual James Moy Memorial Award for Dedication to the Automotive Repair Industry. This year, the award was presented to Society of Collision Repair Specialists’ (SCRS) Aaron Schulenburg at a special ceremony held at the NORTHEAST Automotive Services Show.

Moy, a beloved figure in the automotive repair industry, passed away two years ago this spring. To honor his passing, AASP/NJ partnered with Moy’s longtime friend and colleague Larry Montanez (P&L Consultants) to create this award to honor individuals in the collision repair industry who work tirelessly to better the field for all.

“James was inspirational in the industry,” said Montanez. “We decided to give out an award to somebody who excelled in the collision repair business that particular year to better the industry. We don’t think we could have picked a better person [than Aaron Schulenburg].”

“James was an amazing guy who gave a ton of inspiration to everyone, myself included,” said Schulenburg. “Like James, there’s nothing that I do for this industry alone. It’s with friends; it’s with people I love dearly who all do it because they want to see this industry be the best that it can be. James was surrounded by people who lifted him up and helped him with what he wanted to accomplish, and I feel the same way.”
