Scott Howat Joins The Gates Corporation

Howat joins the company as the new director of end market communications and training for the automotive aftermarket.

DENVER, Colo. – The Automotive Aftermarket division of the Gates Corp. has appointed Scott Howat as director of end market communications and training.
 
Howat brings to Gates extensive experience in sales, marketing and corporate communications. Previously, he held numerous positions with the Affinia Group, including director of product management, director of brand marketing and director of global communications. He has also served on a variety of committees in the industry, including the AAIA Marketing Committee and the AASA Marketing Executives Council.
 
"Scott has a proven track record of helping drive top-line and bottom-line growth in multiple market channels," said Jack Ramsey, senior vice president of the North American Aftermarket. "We believe he is a fantastic addition to Gates."
 
In his new position, Howat will assist the marketing team in reaching existing customers and expand the company’s market in new and creative ways. He also will assist with technology efforts in the field, industry training and end market sales growth initiatives.
