SWANSEA, MA — Viewers of the popular TV show Two Guys Garage will be given a rare glimpse into the extensive testing and engineering that goes into making a high-performance brake pad, and how that engineering helps makes brake pads more consistent for everyday applications during an upcoming episode.
Satisfied Brake Products invited the Two Guys Garage cameras into the pits of the Mt. Tremblant Race Circuit for a day of testing their Gran Sport II Brake Pads. Driver Jean-Francois Dumoulin puts the Gran Sport II pads through their paces on a Ferrari 360 at the Tremblant circuit, which is ideal for extreme braking conditions. This episode of Two Guys Garage, the first of its fifth season, will air this Sunday, April 23rd at 10:30 am (EST) on the SPEED Channel. It also airs April 26th at 7 am and 4:30 pm.
“We’re always excited about showing viewers the engineering that goes into making the products they use on their cars every day, and a trip to the race track is a great way to illustrate the high demands we put on our brakes,” said Sam Memmolo, co-host of Two Guys Garage. “…And a few laps around the track in a Ferrari are always fun to watch.”
The Gran Sport II pads used on the Ferrari use the same patented “Race Grid” steel backing plates that are used in Satisfied’s consumer products. The technology improves performance and security by ensuring a mechanical lock between the friction material and plate, which eliminates torque shear, edge lift and heat separation.
