RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. The Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA), the Heavy Duty division of the Motor and Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA), has announced that Rod Schrader, chairman, president and CEO of Komatsu, will speak at the third annual conference to be held Oct. 6 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill. The conference is being jointly presented by HDMA and SAE International, and immediately precedes SAE/COMVEC.
Schrader will be presenting a world view on key construction and mining trends touching on the recent uptick in rental markets, the product lines Komatsu believes to be most critical to their success in the near-term, and which regions around the globe Komatsu sees future growth potential.
He joined Komatsu America Corp. in 1987 as a product manager for Utility Equipment. He has held numerous assignments with increasing responsibility in the areas of marketing, sales and management. In April 2012, Schrader was appointed vice chairman and CEO of Komatsu America Corp., headquartered in Rolling Meadows, Ill. In his role, he has responsibility for leading and directing Komatsu America Corp’s. Construction and Utility, Mining, Parts, Finance, Forestry, Forklift, Manufacturing and Engineering Divisions, along with the corresponding back office support functions of legal, human resources, information technology, service support and marketing. Effective July 1, Schrader assumed the role of chairman and CEO of Komatsu America Corp.
