Robinair Announces Product Compliance for Infrared Refrigerant Leak Detector

The Robinair 22791 is a hand-held tool designed to uncover hard-to-find refrigerant leaks in A/C systems, and make an automotive technicians' job easier, faster and more efficient. It is now certified to comply with the new SAE industry standard for use with R1234YF refrigerant.

OWATONNA, Minn. – Robinair, a division of Service Solutions LLC, has announce that its Infrared (IR) Refrigerant Leak Detector (P/N 22791) is now certified to comply with the new SAE industry standard for use with R1234YF refrigerant.
 
The Robinair 22791 is a hand-held tool designed to uncover hard-to-find refrigerant leaks in A/C systems, and make an automotive technicians’ job easier, faster and more efficient.
 
"This new certification demonstrates Robinair’s ongoing commitment to product compliance, quality assurance and performance standards our customers depend on," said Tim Wagaman, Robinair product manager, A/C Tools & Equipment.
 
Featuring a "rugged" compact design, the 22791 Leak Detector fits naturally in the hand and stands up to abuse most other leak detectors can’t handle, according to Robinair. It automatically recalibrates in highly contaminated areas to help pinpoint the exact location of a leak and won’t trigger on oil or moisture, the company says. It also offers eight hours of battery life before recharging is needed, and the advanced infrared sensor is designed to last a minimum of 10 years.
