Replacement Rate Data Important to Key Business Decisions, Says IMR

IMR's Replacement Rate Data can be combined with Experian Automotive's AutoCount Vehicles in Operation data to help aftermarket companies make better "build or buy" assortment planning and product obsolescence decisions.

WESTMONT, Ill. – Leading automotive research firm IMR Inc. has announced the availability of Replacement Rate Data mapped to ACES (Aftermarket Catalog Enhanced Standards) codes for more than 140 parts and services. The data can be customized by geographic region.

Additional data is available that helps quantify both DIFM and DIY activity for all service events, channel share metrics representing all service outlets (new car dealers, independent repair shops, retailers, etc.) as well as consumer demographics. The data can be integrated with providers of ACES information to offer a robust solution for inventory management, says IMR.

IMR’s Replacement Rate Data can also be combined with Experian Automotive’s AutoCount Vehicles in Operation data to help aftermarket companies make better “build or buy” assortment planning and product obsolescence decisions.

“IMR can help your business with information that will empower you to make smarter, more profitable decisions,” said Bill Thompson, president and CEO of IMR Inc. “In order to do that, you need replacement rate data that is cost-effective and can easily be integrated with other data sources to provide the efficiencies that you’re trying to achieve.”
