The Product Analyst will participate in the evaluation, analysis and initial order demand forecasting of future CRP Automotive products & programs. The product analyst will perform quantitative and qualitative analysis on existing and emerging products, programs as well as benchmarking these products vs. established competitors. The Product Analyst will provide technical assistance to the Sales and Marketing staff as directed by management.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and document product and application information, market demand and market price
- Develop new ways to research demand and benchmark competitors (blogs etc)
- Provide Management with suggestions and research data for initial stock quantity
- Evaluate sales success of new and existing products as well as sales performance slow downs and provide management with data and suggestions to revitalize sales of underperforming products and product groups
- Provide competitive data and applications for the research data base
- Research and enter application data in VDI format for new products and support marketing department with catalog data for product lines assigned by management
- Verify quality of products in assigned product lines, assist with analysis of defective and stock returns as needed
- Benchmark quality and price of CRP products vs. competitive products prior to launch. Provide sales supporting data for marketing and sales departments prior to launch.
- Assist in packaging and labeling requirements and issues
- Additional duties as assigned by Management
Requirements:
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in a business discipline or a minimum of 5 years in an analytical role within a equivalent automotive business.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good administrative proficiency and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer skills including MS Office - Excel, Word and Outlook
- Must be punctual and have outstanding organizational skills
- Ability to sense and relate observations to business opportunities
- Previous experience in the automotive industry is a plus
- German, Mandarin or Spanish language skills is a plus
