BETHESDA, Md. The Car Care Council is extending a special offer to boost industry participation in National Car Care Month coming up in April. For a limited time, the council’s “Be Car Care Aware” point-of-sale starter kits will be offered at $59, a 25 percent savings. The kits contain materials to enhance community car care events in April and throughout the year, and can be easily ordered online at http://www.carcare.org/point-of-sale-kit.
“There has never been a more important time to help motorists understand how proper vehicle maintenance can help them save in the long run,” said Rich White, executive director, Car Care Council. “To be sure that repair shops, stores and other industry organizations have the tools to actively participate in National Car Care Month this year, we are extending this special offer on our popular point-of-sale kits.”
The starter kit was designed based on feedback from industry participants, making it easier to plan and execute National Car Care Month community car care events and get involved with the on-going “Be Car Care Aware” consumer education campaign. The kit includes consumer education brochures, posters, bay banners, mirror hangers, vehicle inspection forms, an English/Spanish countermat and the very popular Car Care Guide. As a bonus, repair shops and parts stores that purchase a kit will be included in the Find-A-Shop locator on the Car Care Council Web site.
The council recently introduced a new video to give distributors, repair shops and stores a “test drive” of community car care events with vehicle inspections. Loaded with footage of events in several states and candid testimonials from industry professionals, the video demonstrates how car care events grow new business, increase traffic, improve employee morale and build community good will. The video can be viewed by visiting www.carcare.org.
