HARTFORD, Conn. — Permatex has just launched www.permatexrepair.com, a new website designed to help consumers find easy, affordable repair solutions that they can do themselves.
The website features 13 repair kits and offers solutions to restore cloudy headlights; refinish damaged alloy wheels; repair small bullseyes and chips in windshields, reattach rearview mirrors; seal leaky fuel tanks, radiators and plastic window washer reservoirs; fix stripped threads; reconnect broken rear window defoggers; patch up cracked fiberglass; and repair torn vinyl and leather.
According to Diane Nesprido, senior product manager, “In addition to step-by-step instructions, we’ve included how-to videos for several of the repair kits, so consumers can see, firsthand, exactly how to fix the problem themselves and avoid taking them to a professional repair shop. Our ‘Which kit is right for you’ section provides consumers a quick overview for all the kits and where they can be used on the vehicle.”
Adam Cincotta, Permatex product manager, notes that Permatex will be launching permatexrepair.com with a comprehensive advertising and public relations campaign to support its retailer partners’ sales and merchandising efforts. “We have prepared a comprehensive campaign that targets automotive do-it-yourselfers and enthusiasts with high-impact print advertising, Google ad words and online banners in popular magazines and websites. We’ve also added a special ‘Where to buy’ section in the website to help drive customers directly to our participating retailers,” added Cincotta.
Permatex also has launched a promotion to help get more repair ideas from consumers. From now until Oct. 16, Permatex will be conducting a weekly sweepstakes that gives consumers a chance to win a $100 gift certificate to their local auto parts store and free Permatex products. No purchase is necessary. Consumers can go to www.permatexrepair.com and submit their ideas for a new Permatex repair kit to be part of a weekly drawing.
