Parts Plus To Return As Primary Sponsor Of Top Fuel Driver Clay Millican In 2016

Former NHRA Top Fuel driver David Grubnic is set to return as Millican’s crew chief in 2016, while racing veteran Lance Larsen also will be back as co-crew and general manager of the Parts Plus/Great Clips team for owner Doug Stringer.

Parts Plus - LogoParts Plus has reached an agreement with Stringer Performance to return next year as the primary sponsor of Top Fuel driver Clay Millican for a sixth consecutive season in the NHRA Mello Yello Series.

“Clay Millican is an outstanding representative for the Parts Plus brand, so we are looking forward to another great year with the Stringer Performance team,” said Bob Barstow, vice president of marketing for the Automotive Distribution Network. “Several of the Network’s vendor partners are on board once again as we gear up to promote our sponsorship of Clay and the Parts Plus/Great Clips dragster to the end-user. Our popular on-site ClubRev Hospitality events at NHRA racetracks nationwide will again be available to Network members to host customers for a one-of-a-kind race day experience.”

“This has been a fantastic racing program since day one, and I’m thrilled to be able to continue working with Parts Plus,” said Millican. “Getting this deal done early puts the Parts Plus/Great Clips team on equal ground with all the other Top Fuel teams getting ready for 2016. Parts Plus has become like family to me, so I’m personally very happy.”
