MEMPHIS, TN Jim Bastone, owner of Bastone Auto Service, a Parts Plus Car Care Center in Pittsburgh, has been named to the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association’s (AAIA) new Car Care Professional Network (CCPN), according to Mike Lambert, president of the Automotive Distribution Network.
“Jim is the former chairman of the Automotive Distribution Network’s National Car Care Center Advisory Council, so he brings a wealth of knowledge to the AAIA’s newest segment,” said Lambert, who nominated Bastone for the CCPN. “Jim is exactly what the new CCPN board needs to help integrate this segment into the AAIA organization.”
AAIA announced the CCPN after evaluating top service-dealer candidates representing a cross-section of the United States, said Kimberlee Berry, manager of segment relations for AAIA. “The CCPN will represent the automotive service industry to promote structure and communication within the industry, while empowering segment members like Mr. Bastone to become better businesspeople,” Berry said.
Bastone said he is looking forward to representing the Automotive Distribution Network as part of the CCPN.
“A lot of influential people in the aftermarket are represented in AAIA, so I want to bring real-world issues to the table that affect not only my business but also those of Parts Plus Car Care Centers, ASP locations and other independently owned shops nationwide,” Bastone said.
