Luber-Finer Debuts Spanish-Language Website

Continuing the implementation of its stated goal of equipping its customers with the tools they need to make their jobs easier, Luber-finer, a division of Champion Laboratories, has launched an industry-first Spanish language website. Located at www.luberfiner.com/espanol, the new website provides visitors with all of the features that are contained on Luber-finer’s English-language website, in addition to a look at Luber-finer’s all-inclusive distribution operations at its facility in Saltillo, Mexico.

Champ Labs Releases New “Luber-Finder” eCatalog

Luber-finer, a division of Champion Laboratories, Inc., has introduced its new “Luber-finder” eCatalog for all Luber-finer-branded automotive and light truck, medium and heavy-duty filters. The eCatalog has been designed to equip current and prospective customers with the tools needed to make their jobs easier and more productive through the use of faster and more efficient filter look-up, application specifications and cross-reference capabilities.

United Components Completes Sale of Its Flexible Lamps Unit

United Components, Inc. (UCI) has completed the sale of its Flexible Lamps business unit. The sale price for the transaction was approximately $39 million, subject to post-closing adjustments. The sale of Flexible Lamps, a U.K. manufacturer of lighting systems for commercial vehicles, follows UCI’s divestitures earlier this year of the company’s Neapco and Pioneer business units. These divestitures further UCI’s "Centers of Excellence" strategy, allowing the company now to devote full focus and attention to its core automotive aftermarket businesses: Airtex Products (fuel systems), ASC Industries (cooling systems), Champion Laboratories (filtration) and Wells Manufacturing (engine management).

United Components Sells Neapco and Pioneer Units

United Components, Inc. (UCI) has completed the sale of its Neapco, Inc. and Pioneer, Inc. business units. The combined sale price for the two transactions was approximately $36 million, subject to post-closing adjustments. According to Bruce Zorich, CEO of UCI, the divestitures are consistent with UCI’s new “Centers of Excellence” strategy and allow the company to devote full focus and attention on its core automotive aftermarket businesses: Airtex Products (fuel systems), Champion Laboratories (filtration), Wells Manufacturing (engine management) and ASC Industries (cooling systems).
