Lund International, a Georgia-based manufacturer of automotive accessories, has entered into an agreement to be purchased by Linsalata Capital Partners and Resilience Capital Partners, both based in Cleveland, Ohio. Lund manufactures automotive accessories under the AVS, Lund, Nifty, Deflecta-Shield Aluminum and Belmor brands.
Lund International Announces Restructuring Plans
Lund International has announced further reorganization and restructuring initiatives. The company first announced changes to its corporate structure in 2006. This announcement follows the consolidation of the company’s Duluth, GA, corporate offices, its Lund Accessories Division in Lawrenceville, GA, and its warehousing function at the Ventshade Accessories Division into the company’s new Corporate Center in Suwanee, GA. These moves were completed in August, 2006. The new initiatives include the closure of two of the company’s facilities and a new business structure designed to reduce fixed costs, increase management effectiveness and improve customer service.

Lund International Promotes Mitch Fogle to GM, Deflecta-Shield Accessories Division
Lund International has promoted Mitch Fogle to general manager of the company’s Deflecta-Shield Accessories Division (DAD). Fogle has been with Lund International and DAD since 2003. Prior to his promotion, he held the position of plant manager and has been directing efforts associated with improving operational efficiency, restructuring inventory levels and providing superior product availability to customers.
Lund International’s Paula Sliefert Elected to Second LTAA Council Term
Paula Sliefert, director of marketing for Lund International, has been elected to serve for a second term on the select committee of the Light Truck Accessory Alliance (LTAA). The primary goal of the LTAA, a council of SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association), is to encourage product quality as well as service and business practices benefiting manufacturers, suppliers, dealers and customers.
Lund International Makes Changes to Corporate Structure
As of this Monday, Lund International began operating from its new corporate center in Suwanee, GA. The new 355,000-square-foot facility has been substantially renovated to meet the company’s long-term needs for superior customer service and support. Several executives have been moved into new positions as a result.
