BEDFORD, Texas – Registration is open for the Automotive Service Association (ASA) annual business meeting and “Taking the Hill” day. ASA business meetings May 9-10 will include an affiliate assembly, a board of directors meeting, induction of the new ASA board and a state of the association presentation by Ron Pyle, ASA president and chief staff executive. The culmination of the annual business meeting will be ASA’s “Taking the Hill” Day on May 11, allowing ASA members to meet with policymakers on Capitol Hill to discuss key industry issues.

Online registration is open at the ASA website until April 7.

In addition to providing secure, online registration, the event website also includes summarized agendas and hotel information. Travel is the responsibility of each participant; ASA will make all hotel arrangements for attendees. Do you speak spark plug? Most part numbers are a meaningless series of numbers and letters. But spark plugs have a language on the side of the box that can tell you what’s inside. Like any other language, there are dialects.

The nomenclature of spark plug part numbers can tell you everything from size (diameter and reach) to what materials are on the center and ground electrode. Like learning a new language, knowing how to translate spark plug numbers can open up a new way to inventory and sell spark plugs for counter professionals.
