Six students in total have been selected as recipients of the 2016 Multi Parts Aftermarket Scholarship awards.
The two students who received $1,500 awards were:
- Benjamin Chad of Auburn, Michigan
- Elizabeth Niemi of Howell, Michigan
Both Chad and Niemi were 2015 participants in Multi Parts’ annual SPARK Initiative. In its third year, SPARK2016 is a three-day industry immersion delivering a front row seat to experience the business of the automotive aftermarket. Selected participants from across the U.S. receive an all-expenses-covered trip to attend the AAPEX Show in Las Vegas.
The four students who received $500 awards were:
- Rachel Berbert of Marianna, Florida
- Ellen Donabedian of Troy, Michigan
- Katherine Dooley of Linwood, Michigan
- Malorie Dyda of Romulus, Michigan
Multi Parts President Brian Cohn commented, “Education and experience are the keys to success in our industry. With these scholarships and the SPARK Initiative, we are doing our small part to see more students benefit from both. Our industry’s success depends on how well we keep the pipeline of talent full and flowing.”
Additional scholarship funding comes from industry contributions provided by individuals, companies and foundations.
