Motorist.org Adds Carfax Vehicle Service Tracking Tool

The service, which allows motorists to keep maintenance histories for vehicles in their households automatically and for free, also provides alerts about safety recalls, warranty information, email reminders about recommended services, access to service history and other vehicle service-related information.

The Motorist Assurance Program (MAP) has added a new resource called "myCarfax" to its motorist.org website to help consumers keep track of the various automotive services performed on their vehicles.

The service, which allows motorists to keep maintenance histories for vehicles in their households automatically and for free, also provides alerts about safety recalls, warranty information, email reminders about recommended services, access to service history and other vehicle service-related information.

“The myCarfax tool is another resource for consumers, offered by the MAP to help motorists maintain their car’s efficiency and reliability," said Barry Soltz, AMRA/MAP president. "Access to detailed service history from multiple service providers allows consumers and shops to better identify maintenance recommendations and better diagnose repair concerns.”

The program can be accessed by visiting www.motorist.org and clicking on the “Resources” tab. A myCarfax app also is available for iPhone and Android users.
