Mitchell 1 Sponsors Car Care Council Women’s Board In 2016

Sponsorships enable the Women’s Board to continue to promote career opportunities for women in the automotive parts and service industry through its annual scholarship program for post-secondary vocational and high school students.

Mitchell 1 is continuing its ongoing support of the Car Care Council Women’s Board (WB) with renewal of its bronze level sponsorship for 2016.

Mitchell 1 - Logo“There are many opportunities for women in the automotive aftermarket and we are very pleased to continue our sponsorship of the Women’s Board another year,” said Nick DiVerde, senior marketing director, Mitchell 1. “From their consumer education initiatives, scholarships and efforts to recruit and retain talented women in auto care professions, the Women’s Board contributes significantly to the growth and success of our industry.”

Sponsorships enable the Women’s Board to continue to promote career opportunities for women in the automotive parts and service industry through its annual scholarship program for post-secondary vocational and high school students. Sponsorship funds also enable the group to encourage women to become active in vehicle maintenance through consumer education, and also supports industry involvement and maintenance of the WB website at carcare.org/womens-board. In addition, funds support the annual Automotive Communications Awards and WB reception in Las Vegas.

The Car Care Council Women’s Board is comprised of auto care professionals dedicated to providing opportunities, education and career leadership to women in the auto care industry through networking, mentoring, recruitment, recognition, industry advisors and communication. Companies and organizations that are interested in sponsoring the WB should contact the board at [email protected], or call 240-333-1019.
