CAWA’s Chair of the Board, Ward Myers of WORLDPAC, has appointed Michael “Mac” McLaughlin of Ramac Industries, Inc., to the association’s board of directors. When Myers announced the appointment, he commented, “Mr. McLaughlin and Ramac Industries Inc. have been longtime supporters of CAWA and we are pleased he will join our leadership team and get further involved in the association.”
McLaughlin co-founded Ramac Industries in 1987, an importer and distributor of aftermarket parts for BMW, MINI, Volvo and Saab automobiles. He has served as the president and chief operating officer since 2000. He also co-founded Garage IQ in 1998, a software solutions company that is the leader in auto repair scheduling and appointment management servicing independent repair shops. Currently he serves as the managing partner. McLauglin more recently co-founded ExtremeWrench.com, which a directory of independent auto repair shops. His last venture as co-founder of Chargerback, a Cloud-based lost-and-found solution for the travel industry, is currently used worldwide by entities such as United Airlines, Allegiant Airlines, Six Flags Amusement Parks, MGM, Caesars and other Fortune 500 companies.
