From MEMA Industry News
MEMA President and CEO Steve Handschuh will outline MEMA’s landmark “2017 Economic Impact Study” examining the number of U.S. jobs created by motor vehicle parts manufacturers and the industry’s overall impact on the U.S. gross domestic product (GDP) at the 2017 Washington Auto Show. Handschuh’s presentation is slated for Thursday, Jan. 26 at the auto show’s media event.
MEMA is again playing a leadership role at the 2017 Washington Auto Show as a sponsor for the January event. The Washington Auto Show offers Washingtonians a display of mobility technologies and hundreds of new vehicles and concepts from 38 domestic and import manufacturers.
Unlike other auto shows around the country, the Washington Auto Show is known as the “public policy show” and convenes leaders in industry and government to tackle the most pressing issues facing the automotive sector over the course of its Public Policy Days, which includes “MobilityTalks International” on Tuesday and Wednesday, Jan. 24-25. MobilityTalks International is a forum designed for governments from around the world to exchange ideas on best practices related to the emerging trends in transportation surrounding connected and autonomous vehicles.
