The ranking was formulated based on specific criteria, and only companies seeking new franchisees outside the U.S. with a minimum of five open international locations were considered for this list. To compile the ranking, Entrepreneur started with each company’s 2015 Franchise 500 score based on objective, quantifiable criteria including system size, growth and financial strength and stability.

Meineke-Logo-WhiteCORRECTION: In a press release issued last week, the company incorrectly stated it had “nearly 1,000 locations internationally.” In actuality, Meineke has a total of approximately 1,000 locations combined, which includes 876 locations in the U.S and 91 international locations. Meineke has franchises in 48 states and 7 countries.

Entrepreneur magazine has named Meineke Car Care as one of the country’s top global franchises. With nearly 1,000 locations, including 876 in the U.S., the aftermarket auto care franchise ranks among the top companies expanding internationally as part of the annual Top Global Franchise list.

The ranking was formulated based on specific criteria, and only companies seeking new franchisees outside the U.S. with a minimum of five open international locations were considered for this list. To compile the ranking, Entrepreneur started with each company’s 2015 Franchise 500 score based on objective, quantifiable criteria including system size, growth and financial strength and stability. The ranking was then adjusted to give extra weight to international size and growth.

Driven Brands, Inc. was also recently announced as a new member of Roark Capital Group, an Atlanta-based private equity firm that specializes in franchise, brand management, environmental services and marketing services companies with attractive growth prospects.
