The Marketing Manager position for Automotive Aftermarket, located in Canton, Ohio, leads multiple complex projects incorporating advanced and specialized marketing and analytical techniques. The position provides management with timely, accurate financial and marketing information to support effective decision making. It independently leads large or complex projects or assignments within marketing and informally directs the work and priorities of others.
The position achieves the organizational objectives by segmenting the needs and wants of target markets, anticipating and satisfying customers’ needs, and delivering the Timken value proposition more effectively and efficiently than our competitors within the allocated budget.
Responsibilities:
• Execute both qualitative and quantitative analysis of an assigned market or markets
• Implement the process methodology for a select or series of market segments
– Capture, synthesize and evaluate data
– Communicate conclusions and insights
– Capture, assimilate, and draw insights from internal and external data (competitive, customer, market segment, channel, regional economic situation, market research, etc.)
– Detect relevant indicators and trends and interpret and apply them from all past, current, and future signals
• Achieve sales volume, market share, and profit/EBIT contribution objectives for the global automotive and heavy duty aftermarket
• Lead sales and order book trend analysis along with market growth initiatives in an effort to maintain an updated five-year growth forecast, one-year business plan, and monthly sales and profit forecast
• Lead market research activities for assigned markets
• Work with marketing communications in the development of segment literature (sell sheets, brochures and newsletters) and segment participation in industry-based trade shows
• Deliver innovative solutions derived from promotion analysis
• Define and manage the execution of promotions ensuring appropriate coordination with cross-functional groups and teams
• Utilize customer information to guide product development
• Implement marketing strategies that support increased brand and program awareness to drive profitable growth
• Develop tracking/continuous improvement mechanism to evaluate and demonstrate results
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree with minimum of 5 years of experience
