MACS ACTION magazine has been honored with seven medals for editorial excellence by the International Automotive Media Competition. The IAMC program recognizes and encourages excellence in all forms of automotive media from works published, aired or broadcast in 2016.
The MACS ACTION magazine works honored include: a gold medal for “Where have all the leakers gone?,” June 2016 ACTION by Ward Atkinson, MACS technical consultant; and Steve Schaeber, MACS manager of service training, was honored with a gold medal for his column, “Watching yf,” from the March 2016 ACTION.
Recognized with silver medals for editorial excellence were Dave Hobbs, MACS technical correspondent for “F.R.E.D. goes to Tomorrowland,” from the January/February 2016 ACTION; Elvis Hoffpauir, MACS president, for his column, “It all comes down to people,” from the January/February 2016 ACTION; and MACS Chairman Andy Fiffick for his column, “Back to School,” from the June 2016 ACTION.
Earning bronze medals were Marion J. Posen, MACS vice president of member relations and marketing for the article, “Teamwork builds success at Adams Mobile Air,” from the January/February 2016 ACTION, and Keith Leonard for his column, “Changing regulations is no simple matter,” from the November/December 2016 ACTION.
These awards were announced July 30 during a morning ceremony at the Concours d’Elegance of America at St. John’s in Plymouth, Michigan.

MACS ACTION magazine publishes eight annual issues and is distributed to 13,000 readers by mail and another 30,000 in digital form. MACS publications have been honored for editorial excellence a total of 92 times since 2001.
