A thorough change of oil in automatic transmissions is not easy. Unlike with motor oil, simply draining the oil is not enough here, as a lot of old oil then remains in the transmission. With Gear Tronic by LIQUI MOLY, an oil change is not only thorough, but also particularly easy, according to the company. This is one of the new products LIQUI MOLY is presenting at AAPEX 2016.
The Gear Tronic simplifies the ATF change significantly. The device works independently and does not have to be monitored the entire time. As it pumps the old oil away, it pumps fresh oil into the transmission. This ensures a complete exchange of the ATF while the fill quantity remains exactly the same. The Gear Tronic also can administer additives to the transmission.
“The effort for this is minimal, the sales potential through extra services is not to be scoffed at,” said Sebastian Zelger, responsible for the North American business of LIQUI MOLY. At the AAPEX booth, LIQUI MOLY will demonstrate with a model developed themselves why a thorough change of the ATF is so difficult and how Gear Tronic masters these challenges.
The company’s new Truck line will see the light of day for the first time at AAPEX. This is a series of additives that have been specially developed for the requirements of pick-ups. They include petrol additives, diesel additives and oil additives. The line ensure that the truck will be free to show off its full performance. “We have developed this line solely for the U.S. and Canada,” said Zelger.
LIQUI MOLY also is presenting a whole series of oils, additives and service products at AAPEX that are being launched in North America for the first time. LIQUI MOLY offers a wide range of automotive chemicals made in Germany, but which is not completely available in North America. Zelger added, “We are going to expand our range here step-by-step and not only offer the workshops more oils, but also more chemical problem-solvers.”
AAPEX will be held from Nov. 1-3 in Las Vegas. LIQUI MOLY can be found at booth No. 33021.
