Learn How to Turn Your Leadership Passions into Performance at University Forum

This year at University Forum, John Passante, special advisor to the president of Delphi Product and Service Solutions, will teach attendees how to build a clear sense of purpose in their organizations with his presentation: "Turn Your Leadership Passions into Measurable Performance."

LAS VEGAS — It goes without saying that our industry continues to change before our very eyes. Distribution channels and methods continue to change. What worked as recently as a year ago might not be working now.

The University of the Aftermarket’s annual University Forum can help you stay competitive, and keep pace with our ever-changing market. The event takes place on Sunday, Oct. 31 prior to the kickoff of AAPEX 2004.

It does not matter whether you are a headquarter principal, WD, company-owned store manager, retailer or independent jobber — the health of your business will depend on how you are meeting and exceeding customers’ needs and adapting to cross-channel challenges and new technologies. Attendees to the 2004 University Forum, which is sponsored by Babcox Publications and Motormite/Dorman, will walk away with valuable tips and strategies to help meet those needs.

This year at University Forum, John Passante, special advisor to the president of Delphi Product and Service Solutions, will teach attendees how to build a clear sense of purpose in their organizations with his presentation: “Turn Your Leadership Passions into Measurable Performance.”

Passante has more than 30 years of experience in the automotive aftermarket and has held senior human resources positions with Monroe Auto Equipment, Moog Automotive and CARQUEST. He has also conducted training and development seminars for international companies. He has been an adjunct faculty member for the University of the Aftermarket/Northwood University, as well as the University of Toledo, Bowling Green State University and St. Louis University. In addition, he has published articles on employee communications, change, motivation and effective management. Passante is a member of the Board of Governors for Northwood University and is in the Automotive Hall of Fame.

Passante’s workshop will pursue all aspects of leadership. It will discuss motivation, the learning organization and will explore how different leadership styles inspire passion in others and lead your organization to greater levels of creativity and success. Passante will address how to develop meaningful performance goals and measurements and how to motivate your team to meet goals.
