Lars Stuhlweissenburg Named General Manager Of BPI Group Europe

In his new role, Stuhlweissenburg will manage the European operations and business around Remy rotating electrics and BPI brake parts, focusing on the stabilization of achieved growth.

BPI Group Europe has hired Lars Stuhlweissenburg to serve as general manager, announced yesterday by David Overbeeke, president and CEO, Brake Parts Inc. In his new role, Stuhlweissenburg will manage the European operations and business around Remy rotating electrics and BPI brake parts, focusing on the stabilization of achieved growth, while keeping existing customers in sight, and building momentum for further expansion. Stuhlweissenburg will be based in the company’s manufacturing headquarters in Miskolc, Hungary.

“As we focus on building our European operations, Lars is the perfect person to have on board as the new general manager, where he will lead Remy’s European manufacturing operations and drive further growth, in addition to having full responsibility of all BPI Group Europe activities,” said Overbeeke. “His previous experiences across markets in Europe and beyond, as well as his familiarity with aftermarket channels, gives him a broad base of knowledge which will be beneficial to Brake Parts Inc as we continue putting forth the resources necessary to help our global customers succeed.”

Prior to joining Brake Parts Inc, Stuhlweissenburg was the vice president and general manager aftermarket, Horizon Global Europe, Westfalia-Automotive. His previous experience also includes serving as the European sales director with Holger Christiansen, as well as several sales positions with Robert Bosch Automotive during his 14 years with the company.

Stuhlweissenburg holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing technology and production systematics from the RWTH Aachen University in Aachen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
